The New Clinique StoryChangers Program: My Smile Lines Tell the Story of My Life...and So Far It's a Pretty Good Story - Makeup and Beauty Blog
This mail is sponsored past Clinique and the new StoryChangers programme. "We Are Story Changers. Watch and read stories from women like y'all who prove that when you alter your story, y'all change your outlook." For data about my posting policy, please see my Disclaimer.
I was looking through some sometime pictures the other 24-hour interval when I came across one of me and my best friend, Jen, on the day we graduated from high schoolhouse (20 years ago!).
In the pic, we're continuing in my living room in our graduation caps and gowns, all excited and hopeful, and truth be told a picayune clueless, LOL!
Of class I had to snap a picture show with my phone (I feel like I'thousand always doing this, taking pics of other pics). I texted it to Jen with a notation, "Recognize these two youngins?"
She wrote back, "WOW. Just look at our faces. We were babies."
And yeah, I estimate we were. Although at the time, I remember thinking that I was all grown up because I was off to higher in a few months.
Niggling did I realize then the challenges alee, and when I look at the pic now, at my smoothen, unlined skin and my squishy infant-faced cheeks, I see a immature girl who has no idea of the hills she'll take to climb, the obstacles she'll eventually conquer, the missteps she'll make, and make again, and once more, the wonderful people she'll meet along the style and the lessons she'll larn.
And when I look in the mirror at present, these many years later, I run into proof of those lessons in my lines.
Certain, my pores are more visible, and my under-eye expanse isn't as brilliant as it once was (ah…to be 18 again and able to become away with not wearing under-middle concealer!), but those smile lines around my optics that show upwardly when I'm happy, and those lines that show up effectually my mouth when I'k laughing, are reminders of the good times I've had along the way.
We all have our stories to tell and our paths to take. The decisions we brand — both big and small — nautical chart the course of our lives, and the beauty of it is, we can modify that course. It'southward kind of powerful, really, if you think about information technology. I don't know where I'd be now (mayhap still working at a task I didn't similar) if I hadn't listened to that nagging voice in my caput 7 years ago that kept bugging me to start a blog. I'm grateful I listened to it.
This idea that we have the power to change our ain story is the courage of Clinique'south new StoryChangers program, a new multimedia platform on Clinique.com with videos, stories and vlogs from bloggers (including yours truly!) that celebrate the unlike ways women change their ain stories, while introducing Clinique's line of Acne solution products.
Hopefully one of their stories inspires yous (and maybe your skin, also!), i decision at a time.
Every mean solar day of my life, my skin is changing, and then am I. As are yous. We can't terminate things from changing, but we can modify grade along the style. 🙂
If you have any questions at all well-nigh Clinique Acne solutions and you desire answers straight from the source, they accept a live chat available on their website where you can talk to a Clinique consultant about a regimen that's right for your needs.
